The topics are typically issues that you can find in everyday life, and another special issue that I don’t know, perhaps because it’s always China-related stuff. But I haven’t found about general history yet like in Skeptoid.

Ive been using 得到 app for a while, its wide range of topics, no english though so should be at hsk 6 or maybe high 5 if you want to enjoy it..its quite cheap but will need wechat or 支付宝 to pay, keep up the good work btw!
