There is/was a limit to how much we can slow audio down before it starts breaking up. That, however, was done a while ago, and it’s entirely possible that newer methods can achieve slower results with maintained quality. I’ll forward it to Kevin and we’ll see what he says! Thank you for the feedback!

There is fast (default) and slow, but even slow is too fast for me as I’ve mainly learned reading chars. Actually didn’t even notice that it had slower speed until I tried it on computer and for some reason long-clicked one of the play buttons.

We have experimented with that in more recent games. The Magistrate’s Gallery does have a dozen pictures or so, for example!

Do the games go according to level (of Chinese)?
I’m a beginner so I’m asking because I don’t want to start with text that is too advanced for my level…
Which level of knowledge is needed to play these games?

Good question! I haven’t checked it out in enough detail to review it, indeed I have a backlog of almost 100 resources I should check out. However, I have tested it enough to say it’s definitely better than any generic alternative (such as Duolingo) and probably better than most of the current competition. However, saying that it’s better than something else doesn’t really say how good it is on some absolute scale, but such a judgement will have to wait! If you try it out, feel free to report back. 🙂
